Also known as Branch Chain Amino Acids made up from Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine, they make up a unique premium blend of amino acids all in one convenient pouch. BCAA’s are commonly found in different forms of blends depending on which amino acid is more present than others. BCAA’s are building blocks of protein and muscle, helping them to recover and repair after physical activities.
Essentially - that feeling, the day after leg day, and you're struggling to do the simple things in life. Your legs haven't recovered and now you're suffering the consequences. Surely for hitting a PB, you don't deserve this? Well, unfortunately, that’s what happens when you don't consume your BCAA’s!
When exercising, your body can often go into a catabolic state, meaning that you start to use and break down tissue such as fats and muscle to produce energy for muscle contractions. Although this may sound good that your body is using unwanted fat, in fact, it can be the complete opposite and you can begin to lose muscle as your body breaks down proteins instead as an energy source. Unfortunately, you can't stop protein breakdown, however by increasing the rate of protein synthesis compared to protein breakdown helps to build muscle and reduce that dreaded muscle loss.
Overall BCAA’s help provide the body with a supply of amino acids. As this unique blend combines 3 main amino acids, it can be difficult to understand is in our BCAA powder the Amino Acids contained within are:.
If you want to increase muscle mass, and reduce soreness of muscles from working out then BCAA’s are a perfect blend for you. Combining 3 of the best amino acids needed for muscle maintenance, your muscles will thank you for adding this to your basket. Not only does it help with your all-important gains but the combination also helps with energy production, what more could you want?
It's said that sipping on BCAAs during a workout can help delay onset fatigue and give you that mental and physical boost during your workout. Maintaining high levels of BCAA throughout the day is essential to stop your body from using muscle protein as fuel, and use fat stores instead. Working out increase muscle stress, giving your body the additional amino acids before and after will reduce tiredness and help you push through any pain.. We recommend that you take BCAA’s 30-45 minutes prior to working out to allow your body to absorb and direct them to your muscles.
Anyone who is interested in maintaining a healthy and fit lifestyle should take BCAA’s. For those that hit the gym or enjoy a run then BCAA’s will be even more advantageous, as the increased protein synthesis allows you to build lean mass muscle. Available in a range of delicious flavours you can sip to your heart's content making your muscles smile with joy.
It's important to note there is a fundamental difference between products advertised as "BCAA" and "iBCAA". The "i" stands for instantised which means our BCAAs have undergone a high tech manufacturing process. This ensures that when mixed with water, our BCAAs dissolve fully. Standard, cheaper BCAAs, when mixed with water cannot dissolve and 'lumps' float on the top of the liquid. This not only makes it harder to consume but also takes longer to reach the muscle. Here at TPW™, we only manufacture iBCAA as we believe in only offering products that achieve the best results for our customers.
Whilst Branch Chain Amino Acids are backed by years of research, they are also known for having a slightly bitter taste and not mixing ever so well. That’s why here at TPW™ we have ensured that our premium quality BCAA's are instantised to ensure easy mixing and solubility when added to any protein shake. Plus for those like to consume their BCAA’s preworkout or intraworkout on their own, the TPW™ Product Development Team have introduced flavoured iBCAA powder: available now in Berry Blitz, Orange Burst and Green Apple Spike. Made using our unique premium flavours and colours, flavoured iBCAA powder mixes into a fruity cordial drink that’s not only refreshing but backed up with scientific support

Combat 100 percent whey is a low-carb, high-protein, great-tasting protein supplement with minimal fat and low sodium that delivers fast digesting protein sources to build and maintain lean muscle mass. Combat 100 percent whey combines two of the fastest digesting, most efficient and cleanest protein sources available: whey protein isolate and whey protein concentrate. Whey protein has the highest bioavailability among complete proteins (protein that contains a complete amino acid profile of all 9 essential amino acids) and also has the highest absorption rate among any other proteins. Whey protein isolate is a concentrated whey protein molecule's isolated's to remove any impurities such as fats or sugars. This process, in turn, reduces the size of the molecule making it easier for the body to absorb and faster to digest. Additionally, combat 100 percent whey is low in sodium at only 65mg per serving. This can reduce the risk of excess water retention, further ensuring that the mass that you put on is the mass that you intended.
L-carnitine suggested to improve growth and development, fat-burning, energy, and improved resistance to muscle fatigue. It is also great in dieting, as it may help reduce feelings of hunger and weakness. L-carnitine may play a critical metabolic role in promoting healthy body composition, as it helps transport fats to the mitochondria where they are burned for energy. Clinical research has suggested l-carnitine enhances athletic performance and endurance.

It has long been established that protein is an essential nutrient that needs to be obtained from our diets. The ultimate value of a protein source is its amino acid composition. Basically, a protein molecule is a long chain of amino acids linked by peptide bonds (i.e., an amino acid linked to another amino acid). Hundreds of different amino acids exist in nature; however, only twenty-two are typically found as components in human peptides or proteins. These amino acids are joined in varying combinations, each having a distinct amino-acid sequence which determines its specific shape and function. Once digested and absorbed, these amino acids play central roles as building blocks of proteins and as intermediates in metabolism, thereby controlling virtually all cellular process and reactions in living cells. Scientists, experts, and medical professionals all agree that getting enough amino acids in one’s diet is an important factor in maintaining proper nutrition. In recent years, especially in the fitness industry, the emphasis has shifted from using protein to consuming specific amino acids.1,2,3 Many physiological processes related to bodybuilding, from energy, recovery, muscle hypertrophy, to strength gains, are linked to amino acids.
Twenty-two amino acids have been identified that are naturally incorporated into polypeptides (i.e., long chain of amino acids) and are called proteinogenic (used in the production of protein). Of the twenty-two amino acids, eight are labelled “essential” amino acids because the human body cannot synthesize them from other compounds, so they must be obtained from our diet. The remaining fourteen amino acids are “non-essential” because they can be made in the body. The term non-essential can be misleading since several amino acids are actually semi-essential in children because the metabolic pathways that synthesize these amino acids are not fully developed.5,6 Even more confusing is the fact that some amino acids become conditionally essential, meaning they are not normally required in the diet but must be supplied exogenously to specific populations that do not synthesize them in adequate amounts. The amounts required also depend on the age and health of the individual, so it is hard to make general statements about the dietary requirement for some amino acids.7,8 This is why you will see some variation in the number of essential and non-essential amino acids printed in articles. Failure to obtain enough of even one of the essential amino acids results in degradation of the body’s proteins (e.g., muscle tissue).
The branched chain amino acids leucine, isoleucine, and valine are classified among the essential amino acids. They are very important for active individuals, bodybuilders, and professional athletes since they influence various aspects of muscle metabolism. The “branched chain” designation refers to their unique chemical structure. The combination of these three BCAAs makes up approximately 1/3 of skeletal muscle in the human body.9 The body requires higher amounts of BCAAs during and following exercise as they are taken up directly by the skeletal muscles versus other amino acids that are first metabolized through the liver. BCAAs are unique in that they can be used to either build new proteins or be burned as fuel to produce energy.10 The largest amounts of BCAAs can be found in dairy (e.g., milk, whey, and casein), red meat, and eggs. Although they are present in all foods containing protein, supplementing your diet with additional BCAAs provides a definite advantage.
The human body requires a steady supply of amino acids since there is a constant flux of protein turnover, especially surrounding exercise. During exercise, increased oxidation of the BCAAs is generally recognized as the signal to the body to stop protein synthesis in the muscles.2 The body uses the BCAAs during exercise to maintain energy and make glucose. After an acute bout of resistance exercise, oxidation continues. Although protein synthesis in skeletal muscle is elevated after exercise, so is protein degradation. In the absence of nutrition, the body will remain in negative nitrogen balance, meaning catabolism (i.e., protein break down) exceeds anabolism (i.e., protein synthesis). Consuming BCAAs before or after exercise can reduce protein breakdown, increase protein synthesis, and stimulate the release of insulin.11-14 Insulin is an anabolic hormone usually associated with building various energy molecules in the body (e.g., glycogen and triglycerides) and with preventing the breakdown of muscle following periods of physical stress (e.g., exercise), thereby preserving muscle mass.13,14 Current research has demonstrated that BCAAs may block what is called delayed-onset muscle soreness following intense training.9
